# What You Need:

→ Meat & Main

01 - 1 lb ground beef (80/20 or 90/10 blend)

→ Sauce

02 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce
03 - 2 tablespoons hot honey
04 - 1 tablespoon sriracha or other chili sauce
05 - 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
06 - 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
07 - 1 garlic clove, minced
08 - 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated

→ Vegetables & Extras

09 - 4 cups cooked white or brown rice
10 - 1 cup shredded carrots
11 - 1 cup thinly sliced cucumber
12 - 1/2 cup shelled edamame
13 - 1/4 cup chopped scallions
14 - 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

→ Optional Toppings

15 - Fresh cilantro, chopped
16 - Sliced red chilies
17 - Avocado slices

# Directions:

01 - In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hot honey, sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well blended. Set aside.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking apart with a spatula, and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5 to 6 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
03 - Reduce heat to medium. Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked ground beef. Stir continually, letting the mixture simmer for 3 to 4 minutes, until the beef is glossy and the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
04 - Divide the cooked rice among four bowls. Top each with glazed ground beef and arrange shredded carrots, sliced cucumber, edamame, and chopped scallions around the beef.
05 - Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and your choice of fresh cilantro, sliced red chilies, or avocado slices. Serve immediately while warm.

  • The right hot honey ratio is everything: Too much heat, and it can overwhelm; too mild, and it’s just another rice bowl.
03 -
  • A nonstick or well-seasoned pan keeps the sweet sauce from sticking and burning.
  • Finishing with a spritz of lime juice right before serving brightens the whole bowl.
