03 - 1 tbsp coconut oil

→ Toppings

04 - 2 tbsp chopped nuts (almonds, peanuts, or pistachios)
05 - 2 tbsp shredded coconut
06 - 2 tbsp sprinkles
07 - 1 tbsp sea salt flakes

# Directions:

01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside for later use.
02 - Peel the bananas and slice into ½ inch thick rounds. Arrange in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
03 - Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 30 minutes until banana slices are firm to the touch.
04 - Combine chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.
05 - Using a fork or toothpick, dip each frozen banana slice into the melted chocolate. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing back on the parchment-lined sheet.
06 - Immediately sprinkle with your choice of toppings while the chocolate is still wet. Press gently to ensure adherence.
07 - Return the tray to the freezer for at least 15 minutes until the chocolate coating is completely firm.
08 - Serve immediately from frozen. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

02 -
  • Frozen bananas are essential or they will turn into mush when you try to dip them
  • Work quickly once the chocolate is melted because it will start thickening as it cools
03 -
  • Use ripe bananas but avoid ones that are completely brown or the flavor will be too strong
  • Double skewering with toothpicks makes dipping faster and less messy
