- Set oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Rinse asparagus spears thoroughly and trim approximately 1 inch from the woody stem ends. Pat completely dry with paper towels to ensure proper roasting.
- Place asparagus in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, black pepper, and sea salt. Toss gently until all spears are evenly coated.
- Divide seasoned asparagus into 8 equal bundles, each containing approximately 3 spears. Align spears so tips are even.
- Wrap one slice of beef bacon securely around the center of each bundle. Tuck bacon ends underneath the bundle to hold during cooking.
- Place bundles seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, leaving slight space between each for even heat circulation.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until beef bacon is crispy and asparagus is tender-crisp. Watch closely in the final minutes to prevent burning.
- Remove from oven. If using Parmesan, sprinkle grated cheese over hot bundles immediately so it melts slightly. Serve warm.
